Our New Outdoor Area

June 2021

Before

After

The first stage of the reconstruction to our new outdoor area is now complete and looks fabulous - it's such a big space!  Children have begun using it for quieter play and sitting with friends to chat at break times.  We have also had a few collective worships outside to allow us to come together as a whole school

Dance  Fusion

April to May 2021

All children in Key Stage 1 had the opportunity to attend after school dance sessions.  As we have all had a really tough time in lockdown it was great for the children to let their hair down and express themselves & have fun through dance.  Francesca and Zena provided weekly lessons which developed on our topic of animals and on the farm.  A fantastic time was had by all !!   smiley

World Book Day

Pupils and staff at Dean Hole C of E Primary School celebrated World Book Day on 4 March by dressing up as different book characters. Book characters included Laura Star, Wally (Where’s Wally), Mad Hatter, Queen of Hearts, Harry Potter, Tom Gates, Wimpy Kid, Burglar Bill, Hilde, Skeletons (Funny Bones) and many more. Children listened to authors and illustrators online and participated in fun activities, for example finding Wally(s) – hidden in the playground, decorating bookmarks, reading crowns, designing and making books. A fun-filled day with love and enjoyment for books was had by everyone.
