Welcome to Caunton Dean Hole C of E Primary School, a "Good and Happy School"

Welcome to Caunton Dean Hole C of E Primary School website.  I feel extremely honoured and privileged to have been chosen to continue to develop this fantastic school onto the next stage of its journey. As a parent myself, my goal has always been to ensure my child is happy in life and is given opportunities to achieve his full potential. This is the philosophy I bring to my role as Headteacher. My goal is to ensure all children who attend Dean Hole C of E Primary School are happy and provided with all the necessary opportunities to be the best they can be both socially and academically.

Caunton has had a village school for over 150 years. The school takes its name from the eminent Victorian cleric, Dean Hole, whose fame as a rose grower was only matched by his involvement and participation in the early days of our school.

Set in beautiful grounds in the village of Caunton, we are a vibrant, friendly and caring school with access to large fields, neighbouring tennis courts and a new outdoor learning facility, all enabling our children to develop their love of learning in a stunning environment. We enjoy strong links with the village, who help our children bring their learning into the real world.  Our pupils love to help one another whilst we all work together to make a warm, tight-knit community.

The needs of our children are always paramount in the life and decision making within our school. Caunton Dean Hole C of E Primary School provides a happy, caring, spiritual, respectful and hardworking environment, in which all staff utilise their skills to enable the children in their care to recognise their true potential and talents. As a Christian community, we endeavour to celebrate the successes of our children in all areas of school life by showing them that we believe in them, respect them and are proud of them.

Our children follow our core Christian Values of Kindness, Forgiveness, Honesty, Perseverance, Responsibility and Respect to become better in everything they do and to be the best version of themselves.  We warmly welcome members of the school community to lead and celebrate in our Collective Worship.

I hope you find our website informative.  Please don’t just take our word for it, come and visit us.

I look forward to welcoming you to our school.
