Welcome to Key Stage 2
We were delighted to welcome Mrs Joan Green to present a cheque from Police Aid Convoy for £500 to the Dean Hole School Council. This is the third consecutive time that the school has been presented with the cheque due to collecting the most clothing from the clothing bank per pupil. The school regularly supports the charity with donations of surplus classroom equipment. The children enjoy learning about its journey to the classrooms in Africa where it is vitally needed and are proud that they are making a difference.
Hockey Report
On Wednesday 13th November, our hockey team played in three hockey matches at Magnus School. Our first match was against William Gladstone and we drew 0-0. The second match was against Chuter Ede C, it was a non-league match and we lost 1-0. The final match was against Chuter Ede B and we lost 2-0. We all played really well as a team and we are happy with the results. At the end, we were very cold and we could not feel our feet!
Our Years 5 and 6 children played in several 'friendly' football matches on Thursday, 17th October.
The first match was against Bleasby Primary who are keen footballers. Dean Hole Football team held their own and the game ended in a draw.
The second match was against The Minster Junior Department and again Dean Hole Football team played well, defending, tackling and some super saves from our goal keeper, Dominic. We held them to a draw again.
The final match was against Halam Primary and Dean Hole Football team had several close strikes with the ball but they were saved by their goalkeeper. Toby and Arthur were very close to striking goals. Fantastic tackling from Pixie, Natasza, Jemima, good defending from Evie and Amelia were on display. Despite our great efforts, we lost this match 2 nil.
So proud of Dean Hole Football team, you played well together, we know what we need to do for the next set of matches. Well done !!
